Alaska is an old cat, whom we found on the street and who is a carrier of FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus). Weakened immunologically, he contracted a calicivirus, which hasn't healed.
As he was drooling heavily because of his inflamed gums, we had to remove his teeth. Chewing kibble has become an impossible task for him…
A specially designed wet diet for older cats would help Alaska to easily regain his strength. Rich in good nutrients, such a diet would effectively help him to restore his energy, while keeping him properly hydrated.
Our association has been operative since 2011, primarily taking care of stray cats. We sterilise them, identify them and test for various diseases. Those that are unwell are placed in a cat shelter.
Between those we feed outside and those we have taken in, this represents more than 500 toms … the costs are staggering for our small budget!
